Wide Eyed And Legless

Six exams done, 1 to go. It's been over two weeks since I left college and I have already hit the period where it takes me longer than it should to work out what day it is. Revision is tiring and struggles to hold my attention for longer than 45 minutes so I have been filling the rest of my time with coffee, Internet shopping, Sex and the City and endless hours spent lying on my sun lounger reading books I've stared at but never opened.
Things planned for after my last exam include a day of impulse buying, a wild night with all my favourites to celebrate the end of A-levels and the beginning of the rest of our lives and walking my much missed bike to the repair shop. A job I've been putting off for weeks.
Right now I'm off to procrastinate a little more.

When We Kiss I Feel Nothing

Photographs by Becky

The weathers being so infuriatingly unpredictable, one day will be so warm you don't want to do anything but lie in the grass with a good book or even better friends. But then the next is a day like today, cold and cloudy, making summer seem a million miles away.
These photos were taken in the woods around the corner from my house. Every year this field gets filled with beautiful wild flowers. The poppy's are always my favourite. The clog style shoes are deceivingly hard to walk in. After a few minutes of looking like Bambi on ice, I got the hang of distributing my body weight to stop me toppling forwards due to front of the shoes being rounded up. Note to self: Avoid going down hills in these shoes. Hills and steps.
Everything bar the shoes here are vintage. I love this bodice. I picked it up at a charity shop on a day where I had no idea what to wear that night. The rose detailing, the boning, The cropped length and the velvet back. It was everything I had been looking for and just £1.99.

The Courtship Of Mr Lyon

A few shots taken as a welcomed break from revision, which is fast becoming tedious. Two big exams left until I am free from the strong grips of education. Until the beginning of university in September anyway.
In an attempt to keep my brain from exploding from work I have buried myself in episode after episode of sex and the city. It's left me craving a whole new wardrobe filled with classic manolo blahniks and dresses made for nights at expensive restaurants. Although it has highlighted how little effort I make on a regular basis. My style in a few words: Last minute, thrown together mess. Here's hoping one day my pay will match my dreams.
I don't know how this beautiful fringed and studded leather jacket has escaped being blogged. I've had it for months. I found it in a vintage store and swiped it for just £25. Unbelievable, I know. It even came with a little kiss badge on the lapel. The shoulder pads are so big I look like an American footballer in it. It was love at first sight.

If You've Lost Your Faith in Love and Music the End Won't be Long

source: fashion hedonism

That second photo is so hot. Bruna Tenorio is probably one of the most beautiful models I have ever seen and it's really cemented my love for playsuits and summer bike rides. Enough to make me want to get up earlier tomorrow for a morning cycle before college.
Latest purchases include another pair sunglasses, another pair of denim cut offs and a couple of summery vintage shirts which were dirt cheap from a jumble sale. The recent weather made me realise just how much black I wear and spurred me into impulse buying of anything remotely colourful. I had forgotten how much fun summer wardrobes can be and am relishing in all the pastel colours that are around.
Spent my Sunday with some lovely people reminding me just how exciting next year is going to be. September can not come soon enough.

It's Out of Love

Ive had my eye on these flip down sunnies for a couple of weeks and on a Friday afternoon shopping excursion my high spirits allowed my purse strings to loosen. I think I am a little in love with them.
Whilst in Spain I bought a blue crochet dress, a big woolen jacket and a sweet little stripey top which makes me look a little like a disciple from Nazareth but for all the right reasons, and all this for just 1 euro. Charity shops there are incredible. I also bought back some discount gin, a little pick me up to get me through endless revision.
I am now off to run a few looming photography deadline related errands including getting my sketchbook which should already be full by now and taking photographs which should already be edited by now.
This week entails:
  • A general studies exam which is now making me wonder if my Tuesday lie ins were worth missing almost every lesson.
  • A hell of a lot of blagging to make this rushed photography project look like I took 8 weeks to do it.
  • Revision for my geography re sit on Friday to make it easier for me to get an A overall.

So. Much. Work.

Everyday I Waited for You

It's been too long since I posted. Distractions have been coming in thick and fast and putting them to one side and getting my head down has never been my favourite choice. With just two weeks until my first exam it's really time I started taking revision seriously but a three day trip to Spain to visit family is really going to test my will power. Packing more Geography books than clothes is going to be a test, but I guess its for the best.
Just got back from a church sale where i bought three chunky silver rings, which had my name all over them, for the sweet price of £1.50. Nothing makes me smile more than cheap silver rings which don't need alteration to fit my fingers.
Fatale Femmes have once again posted an editorial which blows me away. This one makes me want to grab my friends, a crate of beers and head to the streets for a night of spontaneous mischief and fun. I need some lace bloomers.
